Cold/Salad Chef

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Proven experience in preparing salads, cold appetizers, dressings, and cold kitchen menu items.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, ingredient handling, and presentation techniques.
• Ability to create visually appealing and nutritionally balanced dishes.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare salads, cold appetizers, dressings, sauces, and other cold dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Assemble ingredients into visually attractive and nutritionally balanced menu items.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, presentation, and quality of all cold kitchen products.
• Prepare and garnish dishes to meet the restaurant’s presentation standards.
• Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels of cold kitchen ingredients and notify supervisors of replenishment needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold kitchen work area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, storage, and inventory management practices.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of menu items.
• Assist in developing new salad, appetizer, and cold dish offerings when required.
• Support overall kitchen operations and maintain high culinary standards.
