Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery, food manufacturing, hotel, restaurant, or retail bakery.
- Knowledge of bread-making, pastry production, cake preparation, and baking techniques.
- Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Skilled in measuring ingredients accurately and following standardized recipes.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, knead, proof, and bake a variety of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked products.
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
- Operate commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, dough sheeters, proofers, ovens, and slicers.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistent results.
- Decorate and finish baked goods as required.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products to preserve freshness and quality.
- Perform quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery, equipment, and workstations in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and report ingredient and supply requirements.
- Minimize waste by following proper production planning and portion control.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and food hygiene procedures at all times.
- Assist in developing new bakery products and improving existing recipes when required.
- Work collaboratively with production and bakery staff to meet daily production targets.
- Perform other bakery-related duties assigned by supervisors.
