ALUMINUM WELDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an Aluminum Welder.
• Highly proficient in welding 10mm aluminum in all welding positions and angles.
• Strong aluminum fabrication skills are highly advantageous.
• Experience in marine, shipbuilding, or new-build vessel projects is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Willing to take the IELTS examination upon hiring and achieve a minimum score of 4.0 in all categories.
• Must be able to obtain a Police Clearance.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a fabrication or shipbuilding environment while complying with workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform aluminum welding on marine vessel components, structures, and assemblies according to engineering drawings and welding procedures.
• Weld 10mm aluminum in all positions and angles while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare, fit, align, and assemble aluminum components before welding.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with project requirements.
• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with aluminum fabrication, cutting, grinding, and finishing as required.
• Work closely with fabrication and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company safety procedures and industry regulations.
• Report welding defects, equipment issues, and material requirements to supervisors.
