CNC Milling Programmer (Tool Shop / Machining Center)
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of professional work experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proven experience with CNC milling machines or machining centers.
- Practical knowledge of CNC milling programming, machine setup, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, machining parameters, and workholding methods.
- Ability to set tool offsets, work offsets, and other CNC machine parameters.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality.
- Ability to identify and correct programming, setup, and machining errors.
- Good mathematical and technical skills for accurate machining calculations.
- Ability to use measuring and inspection tools to verify finished components.
- Ability to work independently and follow production instructions accurately.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and tool shop environment.
- Willing to work in the Czech Republic.
- Reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify CNC milling programs for machining centers based on technical drawings and production requirements.
- Prepare machining processes for precision components, tools, fixtures, and other manufactured parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, dimensions, and machining requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding methods, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
- Set up and prepare CNC milling machines and machining centers for production.
- Load and verify CNC programs before machining operations.
- Perform tool and workpiece measurements to ensure accurate machining.
- Set tool offsets, work offsets, and other machine parameters as required.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary program adjustments to achieve the required dimensions and surface finish.
- Monitor CNC machining operations and ensure machines are operating according to programmed specifications.
- Inspect machined components using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, surface quality, and overall conformity with technical drawings.
- Identify programming, tooling, setup, or machining problems and make appropriate corrections.
- Optimize CNC programs and machining parameters to improve productivity, tool life, and machining efficiency.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes.
- Maintain accurate production and machining records when required.
- Work closely with machinists, toolmakers, engineers, quality personnel, and production supervisors.
- Maintain CNC machines, tools, workholding equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Follow company production procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Perform other CNC programming, machining, and tool shop duties assigned by management.
