Aureol Global Connections is seeking highly experienced Agricultural & Plant Machinery Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, repair, and service agricultural and construction equipment for clients in the United Kingdom. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring heavy machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through advanced mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and electrical repair work performed in a busy workshop environment.

Agricultural & Plant Machinery Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant work experience as an Agricultural Mechanic, Plant Machinery Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role.
• Relevant technical or mechanical qualification.
• Strong experience in hydraulic diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Extensive experience rebuilding and repairing diesel engines.
• Proven experience performing electrical diagnostics and fault-finding on heavy machinery.
• Experience working in a workshop-based plant machinery environment.
• Skilled in servicing agricultural and construction equipment, including excavators, mini diggers, and telehandlers.
• Ability to read technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine faults on agricultural and construction plant machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and major repairs on heavy equipment to maximize operational reliability.
• Repair, overhaul, and rebuild diesel engines according to manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, motors, and control systems.
• Carry out electrical diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
• Service and maintain excavators, mini diggers, telehandlers, and other agricultural and construction machinery.
• Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, and mechanical defects, recommending appropriate repair solutions.
• Replace and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components as required.
• Perform routine safety inspections and ensure machinery complies with operational and workplace safety standards.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Maintain accurate workshop records, maintenance logs, service reports, and job documentation.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and machinery is returned to safe operating condition.
• Maintain workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Work independently while supporting workshop productivity and meeting service deadlines.
• Perform other mechanical duties assigned by workshop management.
