Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking experienced and skilled Ceiling Fixers / Fibrous Plasterers to work in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and finishing ceilings, walls, bulkheads, and other plasterboard structures, using appropriate carpentry tools and materials while ensuring accurate measurements, quality workmanship, and safe work practices.

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of verifiable work experience as a Fibrous Plasterer.
- Proven hands-on experience in carpentry and the use of construction tools.
- Experience building bulkheads, walls, and suspended ceilings using raw materials and gib boards.
- Ability to cut, shape, and smooth timber and other construction materials.
- Ability to accurately take measurements and use a level and square.
- Ability to calculate the size and amount of materials required for assigned work.
- Strong practical skills in ceiling fixing, plasterboard installation, plastering, and finishing.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, measurements, drawings, and site requirements.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Physically fit and capable of performing construction work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights when required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently on construction sites.
- Candidates must be ready to sit for an English test and undergo required medical examinations.
- Valid Driver’s Licence, with licence class/category to be specified (e.g., Prof A, A1, B, B1, B2).
Responsibilities:
- Install and fix plasterboard, gib boards, fibrous plaster, and other ceiling and wall materials.
- Build bulkheads, walls, and suspended ceilings using raw materials and gib boards.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and install materials according to drawings, measurements, and site requirements.
- Perform carpentry work associated with ceiling and plasterboard installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Cut, shape, smooth, and prepare timber and other construction materials.
- Construct supporting frames and structures required for walls, ceilings, and bulkheads.
- Take accurate measurements and use levels, squares, and other measuring tools to ensure proper alignment.
- Calculate the size and quantity of materials required for assigned work.
- Install ceiling and wall components accurately and securely.
- Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before plastering, finishing, or other treatments.
- Perform plastering and finishing work to achieve smooth, level, and professional surfaces.
- Check completed work for accuracy, alignment, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify and correct defects, uneven surfaces, gaps, or other installation issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good working condition.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with other construction workers and site personnel to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, site managers, and project plans.
- Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and proper handling.
- Perform other ceiling, plastering, carpentry, and construction duties as assigned.
