Senior Accountant

Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as CFA, CIMA, ACCA, or CA is required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–8 years of experience in accounting, with managerial or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), VAT laws, and corporate accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP is preferred).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel (e.g., dashboards, macros, data analysis).
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, company policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Supervise and guide accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audit activities.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial transactions, and cost control measures.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
  • Generate financial reports and present insights to management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions.
