DESCON Engineering is seeking highly skilled Welders with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, and Heavy Industry sectors. The successful candidates must be proficient in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick Welding) and capable of producing high-quality welds on piping systems, pressure vessels, and structural components in accordance with industry codes and project specifications.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Welding or a related field.
- Experience in Oil & Gas companies, refineries, petrochemical plants, or heavy industries is mandatory.
- Must be a Multi-Welder with proven experience in both GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick Welding) processes.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, welding symbols, welding procedures, and industry quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and welding specifications.
- Familiarity with welding inspection requirements and safe work practices in industrial environments.
- Good communication skills in English or Arabic.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial and construction environments.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality welding using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick Welding) processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials.
- Weld piping systems, pressure vessels, structural steel, and related components for oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemical projects.
- Read and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS), engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and fabrication blueprints.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, fitting, and aligning components before welding.
- Ensure all welds meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable welding codes.
- Perform visual inspection of completed welds and correct defects when necessary.
- Operate welding machines, power tools, grinders, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with pipe fitters, fabricators, supervisors, and quality inspectors during fabrication and installation activities.
- Follow company safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in good working condition.
- Report equipment issues, material shortages, and safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in construction, maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround projects as assigned.
