Technician – Airport Systems – AGL
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
- Experience operating and performing preventive maintenance on expeditionary airfield systems.
- Experience installing and maintaining Constant Current Regulators (CCR).
- Experience installing and maintaining Airfield Lighting (AFL) fixtures such as TCL, TDZ, PAPI, Blue Edge Lights, and similar systems.
- Knowledge of airport runway safety regulations and hazardous zones.
- Ability to utilize visual hand and light signals required in recovery operations.
- Able to use measurement tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.
- Experience assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Ability to construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- No minimum educational attainment is required.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance on expeditionary airfield systems.
- Install and perform preventive maintenance on Constant Current Regulators (CCR).
- Install and maintain various Airfield Lighting (AFL) fixtures.
- Follow published safety regulations when working near runways and airport operational areas.
- Utilize visual hand and light signals during recovery and operational activities.
- Maintain tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
- Conduct testing and diagnostics using multimeters, insulation testers, and other measuring devices.
- Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical and electronic equipment.
- Construct and fabricate components using hand tools and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed according to operational and safety standards.
