Technical Office Engineer (Civil)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in technical office engineering for construction, infrastructure, or highway projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering documentation, quantity surveying, project coordination, and construction methods.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software.
- Familiarity with BOQ preparation, technical submittals, RFIs, and construction contracts.
- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings, construction drawings, technical submittals, and engineering documentation.
- Perform quantity take-offs, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and assist in project cost estimation and material planning.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers regarding technical issues and project requirements.
- Review project specifications, contract documents, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare method statements, material submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and technical reports.
- Assist in monitoring project progress and support planning and scheduling activities.
- Evaluate project variations, claims, and engineering changes while maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Coordinate document control activities, ensuring proper revision, distribution, and filing of technical documents.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable engineering codes.
- Assist in resolving technical issues encountered during construction and provide engineering recommendations.
- Perform other engineering and technical office duties assigned by management.
