Dubai Coating Limited is seeking experienced Spray Painters to join its industrial coating and painting workforce in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying industrial coatings, operating spray-painting equipment, and ensuring high-quality finishes in demanding industrial environments. Applicants with experience in the shipyard, marine, or oil and gas industry are preferred.

SPRAY PAINTER

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an industrial environment.
• Must have prior experience in the Shipyard, Marine, or Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with industrial spray-painting equipment and protective coating systems.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, coating application, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to follow technical specifications, coating procedures, and safety instructions accurately.
• Ability to achieve consistent and high-quality coating finishes.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and proper handling of paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
• Ability to safely use spray guns, pumps, hoses, hand tools, and related painting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically capable of performing spray painting and surface preparation work in an industrial environment.
• Willingness to work in demanding conditions, including shipyard, marine, or oil and gas project environments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal and other surfaces for spray painting by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, grinding, or abrasive blasting as required.
• Remove rust, old paint, scale, grease, dirt, and other contaminants before coating application.
• Inspect surfaces and identify defects, corrosion, contamination, or areas requiring additional preparation.
• Mix paints, primers, coatings, thinners, and other coating materials according to manufacturer instructions and project specifications.
• Operate spray guns and other industrial painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply primers, protective coatings, paints, and finishing coats evenly and according to specified thickness and application methods.
• Adjust spray equipment, pressure, nozzle settings, and application techniques to achieve the required finish.
• Apply coatings to steel structures, vessels, tanks, pipes, machinery, and other industrial components as assigned.
• Maintain consistent coating thickness, coverage, color, texture, and overall appearance.
• Inspect completed surfaces for runs, sags, pinholes, uneven coverage, overspray, and other coating defects.
• Perform touch-up and corrective painting work when required.
• Follow coating specifications, technical instructions, paint schedules, and quality-control requirements.
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, pumps, mixing equipment, and other painting tools after use.
• Store paints, chemicals, solvents, and other coating materials safely and according to workplace procedures.
• Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for paint, solvents, contaminated materials, and other chemical waste.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.
• Follow strict workplace health, safety, fire-prevention, and environmental procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping in painting areas and ensure equipment and workspaces remain clean and organized.
• Coordinate with supervisors, coating inspectors, welders, fabricators, and other trades to complete painting activities efficiently.
• Perform other spray painting, surface preparation, coating, and related duties assigned by the supervisor.
