DESCON Engineering is seeking experienced Painter / Blaster / Insulators to support construction, maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Heavy Industry sectors. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing industrial surfaces, performing abrasive blasting, applying protective coatings, and installing insulation systems to protect equipment and piping from corrosion, heat loss, and environmental damage while ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Heavy Industry is mandatory.
• Proven experience in industrial surface preparation, abrasive blasting, protective coating application, and/or insulation installation.
• Knowledge of industrial painting systems, blasting techniques, corrosion protection, and insulation materials.
• Familiarity with spray painting equipment, abrasive blasting machines, and insulation installation tools.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures, hazardous material handling, and quality control standards.
• Good communication skills in English or Arabic.
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and in demanding industrial environments.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces by abrasive blasting (sandblasting or grit blasting) to remove rust, scale, old coatings, and contaminants.
• Apply protective coatings, primers, epoxy, polyurethane, and industrial paints using spray, brush, or roller application methods.
• Install, repair, and maintain thermal, acoustic, and fireproof insulation on piping systems, tanks, vessels, ducts, and industrial equipment.
• Inspect prepared surfaces and completed coating or insulation work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Select and use appropriate blasting media, painting equipment, spray guns, insulation materials, and hand tools.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials around industrial equipment and piping systems.
• Perform touch-up painting and coating repairs as required during construction and maintenance activities.
• Maintain blasting, painting, and insulation equipment in safe operating condition.
• Follow coating procedures, insulation specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Comply with company safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, environmental regulations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Participate in shutdown, maintenance, and turnaround projects as assigned.
