Astute Team Recruitment Agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support the development and learning of young children with special needs. The successful candidate will provide individualized care, create a safe and nurturing learning environment, and promote the children’s educational, social, and emotional growth.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Teaching, Training, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
- Experience working with young children, particularly those with special needs.
- Patient, caring, responsible, and passionate about early childhood education.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Willing to work in Singapore and adapt to the school’s educational standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate care and educational support to young children with special needs.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities tailored to each child’s developmental needs.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety, well-being, and positive learning experience.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Monitor and document children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Implement individualized learning strategies and behavioral support plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other education professionals to support each child’s development.
- Encourage the development of communication, social, motor, and self-help skills.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and learning materials.
- Comply with school policies, child protection guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
