Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Foreman to supervise and coordinate scaffolding activities for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading scaffolders, ensuring scaffolding systems are erected and dismantled safely, and maintaining compliance with project schedules, permit-to-work requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
SCAFFOLDING FOREMAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Scaffolding Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within construction or industrial projects.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding erection, modification, dismantling, inspection requirements, and safe work practices.
- Experience supervising scaffolding crews and coordinating site activities.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and HSE regulations.
- Experience in EPC, oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industrial construction projects is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and assign daily work activities to ensure scaffolding requirements are completed according to project schedules.
- Supervise and lead scaffolders in the erection, modification, inspection support, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce company policies, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding work to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with construction supervisors, engineers, safety personnel, and other trades to support project operations.
- Verify that scaffolding materials and components are suitable for use and report damaged or defective materials.
- Ensure scaffold tagging systems are properly implemented and maintained before scaffolds are released for use.
- Monitor workforce productivity, material usage, and work quality to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prepare daily work reports and perform other supervisory duties assigned by management.
