Orient Construction Company – Weavers / OCC Weavers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Leadman Marble Tile Setter to lead and supervise marble and tile installation works on construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating workers, preparing surfaces, setting out layouts, installing marble and tiles, checking workmanship, and ensuring that all finishing works meet project specifications and quality standards.

Leadman Marble Tile Setter

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Marble Tile Setter, either local or abroad.
• Previous experience in marble and tile installation is required.
• Experience as a leadman, senior tile setter, or team leader is an advantage.
• Age limit: Up to 56 years old.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, leveling, and installing marble and various types of tiles.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, adhesives, mortar, grouting, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings, layouts, and measurements.
• Skilled in using tile cutters, grinders, drills, levels, and other tile-setting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to supervise workers and coordinate daily marble and tile installation activities.
• Physically fit and capable of performing construction and finishing work for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely in a construction environment and follow site rules and instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise marble and tile setting activities at the construction site.
• Assign daily tasks to marble and tile setters and helpers according to project requirements.
• Measure and mark surfaces to establish accurate layouts, levels, lines, and patterns.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, measurements, and project specifications.
• Prepare walls, floors, and other surfaces before marble and tile installation.
• Check surfaces for proper level, alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for installation.
• Cut, shape, drill, and fit marble, ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, and other finishing materials as required.
• Install marble and tiles according to approved layouts, patterns, dimensions, and specifications.
• Apply appropriate adhesives, mortar, grout, and other installation materials.
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, leveling, and positioning of marble and tiles.
• Install marble slabs, tiles, borders, trims, skirting, and other decorative finishes as assigned.
• Perform accurate cutting and fitting around corners, columns, openings, fixtures, and other architectural features.
• Conduct quality inspections and correct uneven, misaligned, cracked, damaged, or improperly installed tiles and marble.
• Monitor the progress of the team and ensure work is completed according to project schedules.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and other construction trades to maintain smooth workflow.
• Ensure proper handling, transportation, storage, and protection of marble, tiles, tools, and other materials.
• Operate tile cutters, grinders, drills, levels, measuring tools, and other equipment safely.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and proper material handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow construction safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report material requirements, manpower concerns, work progress, and technical issues to the supervisor.
• Guide team members in proper installation techniques and safe working practices.
• Perform other marble, tile setting, finishing, and leadman duties assigned by management.
