Elite Construcciones is seeking an experienced Rigging Foreman for a Chevron and Equatorial Guinea LNG (EG LNG) shutdown project. This is a project-based assignment of approximately 60 days, involving onshore and offshore platform shutdown operations. The successful candidate will supervise rigging crews, develop lifting plans, coordinate heavy lifting activities, and ensure all lifting operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and international lifting standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Rigging Foreman in the oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, construction, or heavy industrial sector.
• Must be qualified in preparing lifting plans and supervising lifting operations.
• Extensive experience in heavy lifting operations involving cranes and specialized lifting equipment.
• Strong knowledge of load weight calculations, center of gravity determination, sling angle calculations, and rigging configurations.
• Thorough understanding of lifting equipment, rigging hardware, inspection requirements, and safe lifting practices.
• Familiar with international lifting standards, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and risk assessment procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Ability to read lifting drawings, engineering plans, and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-risk work environments.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial, onshore, and offshore environments.
• Willing to work in Equatorial Guinea and comply with company and client safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead rigging personnel during shutdown, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Prepare, review, and implement lifting plans for routine and critical lifting operations.
• Calculate load weights, determine the center of gravity, and select appropriate lifting equipment and rigging gear.
• Plan and coordinate heavy lifting operations involving cranes, hoists, chain blocks, slings, shackles, spreader beams, and lifting accessories.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings and ensure all lifting activities comply with approved lifting plans and risk assessments.
• Inspect rigging equipment before use and verify that all lifting gear is certified, properly tagged, and in safe working condition.
• Coordinate with crane operators, lifting supervisors, HSE personnel, and work teams to ensure safe execution of lifting operations.
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and lifting procedures.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure safe load handling, proper communication, and adherence to exclusion zones.
• Identify potential lifting hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment inspections, and rigging activities.
• Mentor and train riggers on safe lifting techniques, proper rigging practices, and company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and client standards throughout the project.
• Perform other supervisory and rigging-related duties assigned by management.
