Parts Runner/Tool Room Attendant

Qualifications:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in handling, issuing, receiving, and controlling tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, construction, or shutdown activities.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems and record-keeping procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify, inspect, and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling materials and equipment safely.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and efficient inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue, receive, inspect, and control tools, spare parts, and consumables for maintenance and construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool and equipment issuance, returns, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and identification of tools, parts, and materials.
  • Monitor inventory and report shortages or damaged items to supervisors.
  • Prepare and distribute tools and materials required for maintenance, construction, and shutdown projects.
  • Inspect returned tools and equipment to verify their condition and arrange repairs or replacements when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool room and storage areas.
  • Assist with stocktaking, inventory audits, and material tracking.
  • Follow company procedures and workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Coordinate effectively with maintenance, construction, and warehouse personnel to support daily operations.
