Rigger III

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Rigger or related lifting support role.
  • Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Experience in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of lifting operations, rigging techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to understand lifting plans and follow instructions accurately.
  • Overseas experience is preferred, but local experience is accepted.
  • Must provide valid proof of experience such as Certificates of Employment (COE), training certificates, or project records.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in rigging and lifting operations under the supervision of senior riggers and lifting supervisors.
  • Prepare and inspect lifting gear such as slings, shackles, chains, hooks, and wire ropes before use.
  • Support crane and lifting operations by attaching, securing, and releasing loads safely.
  • Guide crane operators using standard hand signals or radio communication during lifting activities.
  • Ensure proper load balance, positioning, and securing of materials before and during lifts.
  • Assist in setting up lifting equipment and ensuring work areas are safe and clear.
  • Identify and report any damaged or unsafe rigging equipment immediately.
  • Follow all safety procedures, lifting plans, and site regulations at all times.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling of rigging tools and equipment.
  • Support general site lifting and material handling activities as required.
