Retail Store Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Male or Female, preferably 24–40 years old.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader position.
- Experience in any of the following is an advantage:
- Supermarkets
- Department stores
- Fashion retail
- Convenience stores
- Entertainment retail
- Shopping malls
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Proficient in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage but not required.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and capable of motivating and developing team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods during store operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily retail store operations.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor store staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Assist in preparing staff schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
- Train and coach new and existing team members on store procedures and customer service standards.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, labeled, and merchandised.
- Maintain attractive and organized product displays in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and stock movement.
- Conduct or assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, handling, and organization of merchandise.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
- Operate and supervise the proper use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Ensure compliance with cash control, refund, exchange, and payment procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Resolve customer service issues and escalate complex concerns to management when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, health and safety standards, and security requirements.
- Identify operational problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare or assist with daily operational, sales, inventory, and staff reports.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager and other departments regarding operational requirements.
- Support promotional activities, sales campaigns, and special events.
- Help maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused working environment.
- Perform other duties related to retail store operations as assigned.
