QA/QC INSPECTOR – MECHANICAL (ROTARY & STATIC WITH API 510)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must hold a valid API 510 Certificate.
• Preferably with experience in oil and gas, petrochemical plants, or related industrial projects.
• Proven experience in mechanical inspection and QA/QC activities.
• Experienced in inspecting static and rotating mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing procedures.
• Knowledge of equipment installation, alignment, leveling, and dimensional inspection.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical inspection codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional tests on mechanical components and equipment.
• Inspect mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards.
• Witness mechanical and pressure tests, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
• Verify the proper installation, alignment, leveling, and positioning of static equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
• Inspect the installation and alignment of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and related machinery.
• Review inspection and testing results and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Identify defects, installation discrepancies, and non-conformities and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and other required quality documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel, engineers, contractors, and clients during inspection and testing activities.
• Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Perform other mechanical inspection and quality control duties as assigned.
