Australian Skilled Migration is seeking experienced and highly skilled Project Managers for offshore vessel operations and deployment to Australia. The successful candidate will manage offshore ship projects, including vessel maintenance, repair, conversion, and marine operations while ensuring compliance with safety and contractual standards.
PROJECT MANAGER (OFFSHORE SHIP EXPERIENCE)
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the same field.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year in college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
- Must have experience in offshore vessels, marine operations, and shipyard/project execution.
- Experience with PSV, AHTS, drill ships, FPSO support vessels, construction vessels, or subsea support vessels is preferred.
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Knowledge of marine safety standards, HSE regulations, and classification society requirements.
- Experience in vessel mobilization, dry docking, conversion, repair, and maintenance projects.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Physically and mentally capable of handling offshore and high-pressure project environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage offshore vessel projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, shipyards, marine engineers, subcontractors, and offshore crews.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and marine regulations.
- Oversee vessel mobilization, dry docking, conversion, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
- Manage procurement, vendor coordination, and overall project execution.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and classification society requirements.
- Attend vessel/site inspections and support offshore operations when required.
