SASS GROUP is seeking experienced Professional Truck Drivers to operate trailer trucks and transport shipping containers safely and efficiently across Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for cargo transportation, vehicle inspections, route planning, cargo security, and compliance with road safety regulations while ensuring reliable and timely delivery services.

PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a professional truck driver.
  • At least a High School Graduate.
  • Must possess a valid Category CE Driver’s License appropriate for operating trailer trucks.
  • Proven experience driving articulated trucks, trailer trucks, or similar heavy vehicles.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle inspection procedures, and cargo handling practices.
  • Physically fit and willing to travel as required.
  • Ability to follow delivery schedules and work independently.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safe driving practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate trailer trucks to transport cargo and shipping containers to designated destinations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after operations to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
  • Secure cargo and containers properly to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Verify shipping documents, delivery instructions, and transport requirements.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes while complying with traffic laws and road safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and transportation updates.
  • Maintain accurate trip records, vehicle reports, and required documentation.
  • Ensure proper handling and safe transportation of goods at all times.
  • Report vehicle issues, maintenance needs, or operational concerns promptly.
