UAB ARGVA is seeking experienced and responsible International Freight Transport Vehicle Drivers to handle heavy goods vehicles and safely transport cargo across intercity and international routes throughout Western Europe, excluding England. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient vehicle operation, proper cargo handling, compliance with road safety regulations, and maintaining the vehicle in good operating condition.
INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT TRANSPORT VEHICLE DRIVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Heavy Vehicle Driver, Truck Driver, or International Freight Transport Vehicle Driver.
- At least a high school graduate.
- Must possess a valid CE Category driving license.
- Experience driving heavy goods vehicles for international or long-distance freight transportation.
- Willing and capable of driving on intercity and international routes throughout Western Europe, excluding England.
- Good knowledge of safe heavy vehicle operation and cargo transportation procedures.
- Ability to properly secure and transport different types of freight.
- Knowledge of European road traffic rules and safe driving practices is an advantage.
- Responsible and safety-conscious when operating heavy vehicles over long distances.
- Ability to follow routes, schedules, delivery instructions, and transportation documentation accurately.
- Good communication and coordination skills with dispatchers, customers, warehouse personnel, and other logistics staff.
- Physically fit and capable of performing duties associated with loading, unloading, vehicle inspection, and long-distance driving.
- Reliable, disciplined, and able to work independently while maintaining company standards.
- Strong sense of responsibility for cargo, vehicle, documents, and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy goods vehicles safely and efficiently for international freight transportation.
- Transport cargo on intercity and international routes throughout the Western Europe region, excluding England.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, tires, lights, brakes, and other essential components.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, distributed, and protected during transportation.
- Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and transportation instructions.
- Comply with applicable European road traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain safe driving practices and adjust driving according to road, weather, traffic, and operating conditions.
- Complete required transportation, delivery, cargo, and vehicle documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, customers, and other logistics staff regarding deliveries and collection schedules.
- Check cargo and delivery documents before departure and upon arrival at designated destinations.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods while minimizing unnecessary delays.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, cargo damage, delays, route issues, or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report mechanical or safety concerns requiring professional maintenance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned truck and trailer.
- Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, parking, and securing the vehicle.
- Observe required driving and rest periods and maintain accurate records as required by applicable regulations.
- Practice fuel-efficient and responsible driving to help minimize operating costs and vehicle wear.
- Safeguard cargo and company equipment throughout the transportation process.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, authorities, logistics partners, and other road users.
- Perform other driving and freight transportation duties assigned by management.
