The House of Stella is seeking an experienced and skilled Professional Pet Groomer to provide high-quality grooming services for cats and dogs in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for bathing, trimming, styling, nail care, and routine ear and eye cleaning while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process.

PROFESSIONAL PET GROOMER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional pet grooming experience.
• Proven experience grooming both cats and dogs.
• Experience grooming pets of different breeds, coat types, sizes, and temperaments.
• Skilled in bathing, trimming, styling, nail trimming, and ear and eye cleaning.
• Knowledge of professional grooming tools, equipment, products, and safe grooming techniques.
• Ability to safely and confidently handle anxious, fearful, nervous, or difficult pets.
• Good understanding of basic pet hygiene, coat care, and animal handling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality grooming results.
• Patient, gentle, responsible, and compassionate when handling animals.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing hands-on grooming duties.
• Good observation skills and ability to recognize signs of stress, discomfort, or potential health concerns.
• Able to maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic grooming environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible and reliable in handling pets, grooming equipment, and customer property.
• Portfolio of previous grooming work, including photos and/or videos, is required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform professional grooming services for cats and dogs of different breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments.
• Assess the pet’s coat, skin condition, temperament, and grooming requirements before starting each service.
• Bathe and shampoo pets using appropriate grooming products and techniques.
• Dry pets safely using professional dryers and appropriate drying methods.
• Perform breed-appropriate trimming, clipping, styling, and coat finishing.
• Use grooming scissors, clippers, combs, brushes, dryers, and other professional grooming equipment safely.
• Perform nail trimming and basic paw care.
• Clean pets’ ears and eyes carefully using appropriate grooming procedures.
• Brush, de-shed, detangle, and remove mats from coats as required.
• Handle anxious, fearful, nervous, or difficult pets calmly and safely.
• Use appropriate restraint and handling techniques to prevent injury to pets or staff.
• Monitor pets throughout the grooming process for signs of stress, discomfort, injury, or unusual behavior.
• Report visible skin conditions, wounds, parasites, infections, or other health concerns to the employer.
• Maintain high standards of pet hygiene, cleanliness, appearance, and comfort.
• Clean and disinfect grooming tables, tubs, tools, equipment, and work areas after each service.
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment in clean, safe, and good working condition.
• Follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.
• Provide gentle and professional handling to ensure a positive grooming experience for every pet.
• Maintain accurate records or notes regarding grooming services and special care instructions when required.
• Follow employer instructions, workplace procedures, and animal safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a professional, patient, and caring approach when dealing with pets and their owners.
