Tortola Auto Group Ltd is seeking experienced Partsman / Parts Staff to support the efficient operation of its automotive parts department in the British Virgin Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing automotive spare parts inventory, assisting service personnel and customers, and ensuring timely availability of parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Partsman/Parts Staff
Qualifications:
- Graduate of at least a 2-year college course or vocational diploma (Associate’s Degree).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Partsman, Parts Staff, or similar role.
Automotive dealership experience is required. - Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts, inventory management, and dealership operations.
- Ability to identify vehicle parts using parts catalogs and computerized inventory systems.
- Good organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using inventory management software is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, store, and issue automotive spare parts, accessories, and related materials.
- Identify and supply the correct parts based on vehicle make, model, and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist service advisors, technicians, and customers with parts inquiries and product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records using the dealership’s inventory management system.
- Prepare purchase requests, process orders, and coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation and warehouse organization.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of automotive parts to prevent damage or loss.
- Process parts returns, warranty claims, and defective items in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts warehouse and counter area.
- Follow dealership policies, inventory control procedures, and workplace safety standards.
