MACHINE OPERATOR (CNC LASER & PRESS BRAKE)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in CNC manufacturing, specifically with laser cutting and press brake machines.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Skilled in programming, editing, and operating CNC Laser and Press Brake machines.
- Strong understanding of machine safety procedures and metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
- Knowledgeable in shop mathematics and geometry, including bend deductions and material allowances.
- Experienced in using precision measuring instruments such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Gauges
- Capable of changing and adjusting tools such as dies and punches according to fabrication requirements.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy or large metal sheets.
- Technical training or certifications are an advantage.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Program, edit, and operate CNC Laser and Press Brake machines for metal fabrication processes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication instructions to determine proper cutting and bending sequences.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Change, install, and adjust tooling such as dies and punches according to job specifications.
- Perform daily machine maintenance, routine inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, machines, and fabrication tools.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, operational guidelines, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with supervisors, fabricators, and production personnel to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ensure all fabricated components meet company and customer quality standards.
