Laser Welding Machine Operator

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional work experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Previous experience operating laser welding machines or similar automated welding equipment is highly relevant.
• Basic understanding of laser welding processes, machine operation, and production procedures.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, production orders, and specifications.
• Ability to set and adjust basic machine parameters according to production requirements.
• Good understanding of metal components, welding quality, and proper component positioning.
• Ability to perform visual and basic dimensional inspections of welded products.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify welding defects and production irregularities.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to report machine faults accurately.
• Ability to work with precision when handling small or detailed metal components.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination for machine operation and component handling.
• Ability to follow instructions and established production procedures consistently.
• Reliable, responsible, and quality-conscious approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
• Willingness to comply with workplace safety, quality, and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor laser welding machines according to production procedures and technical specifications.
• Prepare and position metal components correctly before laser welding operations.
• Load and unload materials and components from the laser welding machine safely and accurately.
• Set and adjust machine parameters according to material type, thickness, welding requirements, and production specifications.
• Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, production orders, and welding specifications.
• Perform machine setup and make basic adjustments to ensure proper welding conditions.
• Monitor welding operations to maintain consistent weld quality and production output.
• Inspect welded components for defects such as cracks, porosity, incomplete welds, distortion, or improper alignment.
• Conduct visual and basic dimensional quality checks on finished products.
• Use appropriate measuring and inspection tools to verify product dimensions and workmanship.
• Identify machine malfunctions, welding irregularities, or quality problems and report them promptly.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments within the scope of the operator’s responsibilities.
• Monitor material and component positioning to ensure accurate and repeatable welding results.
• Maintain proper production records, inspection results, and machine-related documentation when required.
• Keep welding equipment, tools, fixtures, and workstations clean and organized.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic operator-level maintenance of laser welding equipment.
• Follow established production schedules and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, technicians, welders, and quality control personnel to resolve production issues.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe machine operation.
• Handle metal materials and finished components carefully to prevent damage or defects.
• Perform other laser welding and production duties assigned by management.
