METAL FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, steel work, or a related field is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of metal cutting, shaping, drilling, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
• Ability to accurately measure and mark metal materials.
• Familiarity with common metal fabrication hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
• Ability to follow basic drawings, measurements, work instructions, and fabrication specifications.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in fabrication work.
• Ability to inspect finished work for proper dimensions, alignment, and quality.
• Physically capable of lifting, handling, and moving metal materials and components.
• Able to work standing for long periods.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• With pleasing personality.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and willing to follow workplace instructions.
• Safety-conscious and able to properly use required PPE.
• Ability to work effectively in a workshop or industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform metal fabrication, cutting, shaping, fitting, and assembly according to required specifications.
• Measure and mark metal materials accurately before cutting or fabrication.
• Cut metal using appropriate hand tools, power tools, cutting machines, or other fabrication equipment.
• Shape, bend, drill, grind, and prepare metal components for assembly.
• Fabricate brackets, frames, supports, panels, structures, and other metal components as assigned.
• Assemble fabricated metal parts using appropriate fastening, fitting, and joining methods.
• Perform welding and basic metal joining work when required and within assigned responsibilities.
• Read and follow basic drawings, sketches, measurements, work orders, and fabrication instructions.
• Check fabricated components for proper dimensions, alignment, fit, and overall quality.
• Perform grinding, deburring, finishing, and other necessary preparation of fabricated metal surfaces.
• Identify defective materials, inaccurate measurements, poor fitting, or fabrication issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Make necessary adjustments or rework to ensure fabricated products meet required specifications.
• Operate fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment safely and correctly.
• Perform basic cleaning and routine checks of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Maintain proper organization of metal materials, tools, equipment, and finished components.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, lifting, and handling metal materials.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fabrication and work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, welders, and other workers to complete fabrication projects efficiently.
• Complete assigned fabrication work within required schedules and quality standards.
• Perform other metal fabrication and workshop duties assigned by management.
