Technical Contracting Company (TCC Kanoo) is seeking experienced Instrument Technicians to install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial instrumentation and process control systems. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable and efficient operation of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and automation systems in oil and gas, petrochemical, utility, or gas processing facilities while complying with company procedures and industry safety standards.
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Up to 45 years old.
- Recognized Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Trade Qualification in Instrumentation, Industrial Electronics, Process Control, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial instrumentation maintenance experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, utility, or gas processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, calibration, troubleshooting, and industrial control systems.
- Experience with transmitters, control valves, analyzers, PLC/DCS interfaces, and field instrumentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, electrical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Skilled in using calibration and diagnostic equipment for instrument testing and maintenance.
- Good understanding of hazardous area requirements, permit-to-work systems, and industrial safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial plant environments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and repair industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on field instruments and process control equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical instruments.
- Maintain and calibrate transmitters, switches, control valves, positioners, solenoids, and instrument air systems.
- Perform loop checking, functional testing, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, instrument data sheets, and technical manuals.
- Use calibration equipment and testing instruments such as multifunction calibrators, HART communicators, multimeters, pressure calibrators, and temperature simulators.
- Diagnose instrument failures and implement corrective actions to minimize plant downtime.
- Inspect and maintain instrument tubing, impulse lines, junction boxes, cable trays, and field wiring.
- Assist during plant shutdowns, start-ups, commissioning, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and hazardous area safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate calibration records, maintenance reports, and equipment history documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations personnel to resolve instrumentation issues.
- Comply with company policies and health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Perform other instrumentation maintenance duties assigned by management.
