Modern Advanced Construction (MAC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Fighting Technician to support the installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work with fire fighting pipework, fittings, valves, sprinklers, fire pumps, and related components while ensuring that systems are properly installed, functional, and maintained according to required safety and technical standards.
FIRE FIGHTING TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male, 24–40 years old.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Experience installing fire fighting pipework, fittings, valves, sprinklers, and related components.
- Knowledge of pipe cutting, threading, grooving, fitting, and proper assembly.
- Experience installing, inspecting, operating, and maintaining fire pumps.
- Ability to identify defects, leaks, abnormal conditions, and equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Knowledge of fire protection system components, piping installation, testing, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, system layouts, and installation specifications.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in construction, industrial, and project-site environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of performing installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work.
- Willingness to follow Saudi Arabian workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Install fire fighting pipework, fittings, valves, sprinklers, and related fire protection components.
- Perform pipe cutting, threading, grooving, fitting, and proper assembly according to system requirements.
- Read and follow technical drawings, installation plans, specifications, and work instructions.
- Install and connect fire protection piping systems and associated components.
- Inspect installed fire fighting systems to ensure proper alignment, connections, support, and workmanship.
- Install, inspect, operate, and maintain fire pumps and related equipment.
- Conduct routine checks of fire pumps, piping, valves, sprinkler systems, and other fire protection components.
- Test fire protection equipment and systems to verify proper operation and identify potential problems.
- Identify defects, leaks, damaged components, abnormal pressure, unusual equipment conditions, and other system issues.
- Troubleshoot fire fighting system problems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Replace defective valves, fittings, pipes, sprinkler heads, and other damaged or worn components as required.
- Assist with pressure testing, system testing, commissioning, and operational checks.
- Ensure fire fighting systems remain accessible, properly maintained, and ready for emergency operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on fire pumps and related mechanical components.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, testing, and equipment conditions.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, electricians, plumbers, mechanical technicians, and other construction personnel.
- Follow approved installation procedures and applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
- Use appropriate tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report major defects, equipment failures, material requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors or engineers.
- Perform other fire protection system installation, maintenance, and repair duties assigned by management.
