Fire Alarm Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of overseas experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Must have 3 years of verifiable employment documents related to the position.
- High School Level applicants are welcome to apply.
- IELTS or PTE passer.
- Good English comprehension and communication skills.
- At least 2 to 3 years of proven on-site experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting addressable fire alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial fire detection, emergency warning, and smoke alarm systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, construction blueprints, and system layout drawings.
- Experience using diagnostic software, multimeters, loop testers, and other specialized testing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, program, commission, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial fire alarm systems.
- Conduct testing and inspection of fire detection, emergency warning, and smoke alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, false alarms, open circuits, earth faults, communication failures, and battery issues.
- Utilize diagnostic software, loop testers, and electrical testing equipment to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and fire system layouts for accurate installation and maintenance.
- Configure addressable fire alarm devices, control panels, detectors, sounders, and communication modules.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of fire protection systems.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with fire safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
- Prepare service reports, testing records, and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other contractors during installations and upgrades.
