AUTOCAD DRAUGHTSMAN (ARCHITECTURAL)

Qualifications:

• Professional certification in AutoCAD, BIM, or a related drafting discipline is required.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an Architectural AutoCAD Draughtsman in construction projects.
• Proven experience in large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong background in preparing architectural drawings, façade details, interior layouts, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and detailing.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, BIM, and Navisworks for 3D modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, design concepts, specifications, and construction documents.
• Sound knowledge of façade systems, interior finishes, joinery details, construction methodologies, and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international drafting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and drawing management.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• AutoCAD Certified Professional, Autodesk Revit Certified Professional, or BIM certification is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, coordination, and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Job Responsibilities
  Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for architectural works, including floor plans, elevations, sections, façade details, ceiling layouts, joinery details, door and window schedules, interior layouts, and finishing details.
• Develop, revise, and update drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software based on project requirements, consultant comments, and architectural specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP teams, and consultants to ensure design integration and resolve multidisciplinary clashes.
• Prepare detailed architectural elements, including wall sections, cladding details, material specifications, finishing schedules, furniture layouts, and fixture coordination drawings.
• Incorporate design revisions and consultant comments accurately while maintaining drawing registers, version control, and document management systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company drafting standards, the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and applicable international standards.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and technical review sessions with project teams and consultants.
• Support the preparation of material schedules, finish specifications, and technical submittals based on project drawings.
• Liaise with site personnel to prepare accurate as-built drawings that reflect completed architectural works.
• Maintain company CAD standards, drawing templates, layer conventions, and drafting quality throughout all stages of the project.
