Accurate Infrastructure Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support electricity distribution, transmission, network planning, and asset management projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will provide advanced engineering expertise in power systems, network development, asset lifecycle management, and investment planning while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
SENIOR ENGINEER
Qualifications:
Future Network and Planning
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity distribution, transmission, or network planning.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience using Power Factory or similar power system modelling tools.
- Strong understanding of network planning, constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in Distributed Energy Resources (DER), resilience planning, or advanced analytics tools.
- Experience preparing business cases and investment analysis.
Asset and Delivery
- Minimum 10 years of experience in asset management or power systems engineering.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electricity distribution networks.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and field teams.
- Experience preparing business cases and investment planning documents.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, risk assessment, and reliability analysis.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Has IELTS or PTE certification, or willing to take and pass either examination after short-term tutoring.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support future network planning strategies for electricity distribution and transmission systems.
- Perform power system analysis, modelling, and technical assessments using Power Factory or similar engineering tools.
- Evaluate network constraints, capacity requirements, reliability issues, and future infrastructure needs.
- Prepare technical reports, business cases, investment proposals, and engineering recommendations.
- Support planning and implementation of Distributed Energy Resources (DER), resilience planning, and advanced network solutions.
- Conduct asset management assessments, lifecycle planning, risk analysis, and reliability studies.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, field teams, and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.
- Review and provide technical guidance on network projects and asset improvement initiatives.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Support continuous improvement of network performance and operational efficiency.
