ENGINEER (QA/QC)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of QA/QC experience in carpentry, joinery, or fit-out manufacturing.
• Proven experience in factory and site quality control for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery materials, finishes, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, technical details, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality auditing principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and company standards.
• Prepare and update Quality Plans, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for joinery and fit-out works.
• Conduct incoming material inspections for timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, adhesives, and accessories.
• Verify compliance of materials with approved submittals, samples, technical data sheets, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Production Managers, Factory Supervisors, and Site Engineers on quality-related matters.
• Arrange and coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, test results, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Prepare Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely submission and approval.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, ASTM, BS, EN, and local authority requirements.
• Verify that products meet fire-rating, environmental, sustainability, and safety requirements where applicable.
• Analyze recurring defects and quality issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Propose improvements to manufacturing processes, materials, and inspection procedures to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Monitor factory and site activities to ensure consistent adherence to approved quality standards and project requirements.
