ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• At least 2 years of work experience as an Appliance Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Sufficient practical experience and knowledge in appliance repair and installation.
• Post-secondary training from a trade or vocational school is preferred.
• Knowledge of household electrical and electronic appliances.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical appliance problems.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Physically fit and capable of performing appliance installation and repair work.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Able to work independently and as part of a technical service team.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and safety-conscious.
• Able to follow technical instructions and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various household electrical appliances.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, and operational faults in household appliances.
• Repair and maintain appliances such as:
  • Electric kettles
  • Dishwashers
  • Rice cookers
  • Electric irons
  • Other household electrical appliances
• Conduct inspections to identify defective, damaged, or worn components.
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify appliance faults.
• Disassemble appliances safely to access defective components.
• Repair, replace, or adjust faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical parts.
• Test repaired appliances to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Perform installation of new household appliances according to manufacturer specifications.
• Check electrical connections, wiring, switches, heating elements, motors, controls, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance to help ensure reliable appliance performance.
• Explain appliance problems, repair requirements, and basic operating procedures to customers when required.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during installation and repair visits.
• Respond to customer concerns and technical service requests.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and service activities.
• Handle tools, spare parts, and equipment properly and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow manufacturer instructions, company procedures, and electrical safety requirements.
• Report major technical issues or replacement requirements to supervisors.
• Perform other appliance installation, maintenance, and repair duties as assigned.
