Job Location: Papua New Guinea
Telemu No. 16 Limited is seeking a qualified Electrical Project Engineer to support electrical engineering projects, building operations, and facility maintenance activities in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the successful delivery of electrical works while maintaining compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in building engineering, facilities management, property maintenance, or building operations.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use properties is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, maintenance, and project coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors and technical teams.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and engineering practices
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical engineering works for building and facility projects.
- Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress, schedules, materials, and technical requirements.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, technicians, and other project teams.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical systems and equipment.
- Prepare technical reports, project updates, and maintenance documentation.
- Identify electrical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Assist in improving system reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies.
- Perform other electrical engineering duties as assigned by management.
