QA/QC INSPECTOR – INSTRUMENTATION

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in instrumentation inspection, calibration, testing, or QA/QC activities.
  • Strong knowledge of field instruments, control systems, calibration procedures, and loop checking.
  • Experienced in calibration of sensors, gauges, transmitters, and safety valves.
  • Knowledgeable in instrumentation installation, cabling, wiring, and control panels.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical and installation discrepancies.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work effectively in industrial or project-based environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and witness the calibration of sensors, gauges, transmitters, control instruments, and safety valves.
  • Conduct loop checks, functional testing, and verification of control system components.
  • Inspect field instruments, control panels, junction boxes, and cabling to ensure proper installation.
  • Verify instrumentation installations against approved engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Inspect instrument wiring, terminations, tubing, and connections for proper installation and compliance.
  • Review calibration and testing results to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and testing documentation.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and related quality documentation.
  • Monitor instrumentation and control works to ensure compliance with approved standards and procedures.
  • Identify installation defects, testing failures, and non-conformities and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation engineers, contractors, technicians, and QA/QC personnel regarding inspection and testing activities.
  • Ensure all inspection and testing activities are performed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
