QA/QC INSPECTOR – MECHANICAL (STATIC WITH API 510)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must have a valid API 510 Certificate.
• Preferably with experience in oil and gas, petrochemical plants, or related industrial projects.
• Proven experience in mechanical inspection and QA/QC activities.
• Experience inspecting static equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
• Knowledge and experience in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing.
• Knowledge of mechanical installation, alignment, leveling, and dimensional inspection.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of mechanical inspection standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional tests on mechanical components and equipment.
• Inspect mechanical installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards.
• Witness and verify mechanical and pressure tests, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
• Inspect static equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers for proper installation and condition.
• Verify the correct installation, alignment, leveling, and positioning of static equipment.
• Review inspection and testing results to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Identify defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming work and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel, engineers, contractors, and clients during inspection activities.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Perform other mechanical inspection and QA/QC duties as assigned.
