QA/QC INSPECTOR – PIPING

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in piping fabrication, erection, inspection, and QA/QC activities.
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, welding, fit-up, alignment, and pressure testing.
  • Deep understanding of applicable piping codes and standards, particularly ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME B31.4, and/or ASME B31.8.
  • Able to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, supports, and installation requirements.
  • Strong understanding of inspection procedures, testing requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify piping defects and non-conformities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor piping fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable international codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of piping installation and fabrication works.
  • Verify piping materials, fittings, valves, and other components against approved specifications and material requirements.
  • Review piping drawings, isometric drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure proper installation.
  • Monitor welding, fit-up, alignment, support installation, and other piping fabrication activities.
  • Witness and verify required piping inspections, tests, and examinations in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensure piping pressure testing and other inspection activities are properly conducted and documented.
  • Identify defective or non-compliant piping work and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, test records, material documentation, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, QA/QC personnel, inspectors, and project teams regarding piping quality requirements.
  • Ensure all piping activities comply with applicable safety procedures, project standards, and international codes.
