QA/QC INSPECTOR – MECHANICAL (ROTARY)

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in mechanical inspection, QA/QC, installation, or commissioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and other rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Experience in equipment alignment, leveling, installation inspection, and testing.
  • Knowledge of NCR preparation, corrective action monitoring, and quality documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify the installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors.
  • Ensure all mechanical equipment is installed and tested in accordance with approved engineering standards, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Verify equipment alignment, leveling, positioning, and installation accuracy.
  • Conduct inspections and witness mechanical testing and commissioning activities as required.
  • Ensure mechanical materials, equipment, and installation works comply with applicable international codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Identify defective materials, improper installations, and other quality issues during inspection activities.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliant work and materials.
  • Monitor and follow up on corrective and preventive actions until satisfactory completion.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and other required technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, QA/QC personnel, and project teams regarding mechanical inspection and quality issues.
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with project quality requirements and workplace safety procedures.
