Job Location: Ireland

Traditional Meat Company (Ireland) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical / Refrigeration Engineer to support its food manufacturing and abattoir operations in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, refrigeration, and automation systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production in compliance with industry and food safety standards.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including F-Gas and Ammonia systems.
  • Skilled in PLC programming and control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities in electrical and automation systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Experience in food manufacturing and abattoir operations is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, refrigeration systems, and industrial plant equipment.
  • Work with three-phase electrical systems and ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in control panels, motors, and automation systems.
  • Maintain and service refrigeration systems, including F-Gas and Ammonia systems, in compliance with regulations.
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and refrigeration equipment.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC control systems and automation systems.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, food safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
