Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong expertise in injection moulding, plastics manufacturing, process optimization, and industrial automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, maintaining product quality, implementing continuous improvement methodologies, and supporting efficient production operations.

PROCESS ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Minimum National Diploma in Plastics Engineering.
• A Degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Relevant experience in the injection moulding industry is required.
• In-depth knowledge and demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Good knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Just-in-Time (JIT), SMED, and Kaizen principles.
• Strong knowledge of injection mould tooling and design.
• Very good knowledge of injection moulding processes, including standard and multi-component injection moulding.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
• Good computer skills, including integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of MFG Pro is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize production processes and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies including WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen.
• Monitor production processes using real-time monitoring systems where applicable.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Optimize injection moulding processes, including standard and multi-component moulding.
• Troubleshoot injection moulding processes, equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
• Support the development and optimization of injection mould tooling and designs.
• Monitor and improve the performance of ancillary equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
• Work with production and technical teams to resolve process and equipment-related problems.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, production reports, and technical records.
• Use computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word-processing applications, and spreadsheets for process monitoring and reporting.
• Support the implementation of process improvements and new manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure processes meet required quality, safety, productivity, and customer standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce production waste.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
