Aureol Global Connections is seeking skilled Instrumentation Technicians to support industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and data centre projects in Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and commissioning instrumentation systems, process tubing, and mechanical equipment while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Instrumentation Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in instrumentation, mechanical instrumentation, industrial mechanical systems, or process piping installations.
• Experience working on semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centre, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrument tubing, pneumatic systems, mechanical process equipment, and process piping.
• Good understanding of process gas, chemical, and utility systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with pressure testing, leak testing, and quality inspection procedures.
• Experience with orbital welding and high-purity process systems is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Strong understanding of construction-site safety practices and safe systems of work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Able to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems used in industrial and process facilities.
• Install instrument tubing, pneumatic systems, impulse lines, valves, fittings, manifolds, and associated mechanical process equipment.
• Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
• Support the installation and commissioning of process gas, chemical, utility, and mechanical process systems.
• Perform pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, and quality inspections of instrument tubing and process piping systems.
• Verify instrument installation, tubing routing, supports, and equipment alignment in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist with calibration support, loop checks, functional testing, and system commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, QA/QC inspectors, and multidisciplinary project teams during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Maintain accurate installation records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and daily work logs.
• Identify installation issues and recommend practical solutions to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Perform other instrumentation and mechanical installation duties assigned by management.
