Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Design Manager – High Voltage Substation to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities for high-voltage substation projects in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing design packages, coordinating technical teams, and ensuring projects meet applicable UK design, safety, and engineering requirements.
DESIGN MANAGER (High Voltage Substation)
Qualifications:
- Must have proven experience working on high-voltage substation projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary design packages.
- Experience serving as a Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage substation design and project delivery.
- Strong project coordination, technical management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engineering disciplines and project deliverables.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be up to 56 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design packages for high-voltage substation projects.
- Lead design activities from initial concept through detailed design and project delivery.
- Coordinate electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, protection and control, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review design documentation, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Ensure designs meet project requirements, applicable standards, and client specifications.
- Serve as Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015 where required.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts, technical issues, and project risks.
- Monitor design progress, deliverables, and technical quality.
- Support design reviews, technical meetings, risk assessments, and project coordination activities.
- Ensure appropriate health, safety, and design risk considerations are incorporated into project designs.
- Maintain effective communication between design teams and project delivery teams.
- Provide technical leadership and support throughout the project lifecycle.
