Max Marketing and Publishing PTE Limited is offering an overseas employment opportunity for a Paper Converting Machine Operator specializing in A4 paper and exercise book production in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will operate, set up, and monitor paper converting and book manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.

PAPER CONVERTING MACHINE OPERATOR (A4 paper & Exercise Book)

Qualifications:

• At least a high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Paper Converting Machine Operator.
• Practical experience operating paper converting machinery, such as cutters, slitters, and sheeters.
• Experience with exercise book manufacturing machinery, including collators, staplers, binders, and trimmers.
• Ability to set up equipment and adjust machine settings for precise cutting, folding, collating, and binding.
• Knowledge of paper feeding, roll loading, material alignment, and production processes.
• Ability to inspect A4 paper reams and finished exercise books for quality and defects.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify production problems.
• Ability to follow operating procedures, meet production targets, and maintain workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor paper converting machines used in A4 paper production, including cutters, slitters, and sheeters.
• Operate machinery used in exercise book manufacturing, including collators, staplers, binders, and trimmers.
• Adjust machine settings for accurate cutting, folding, collating, trimming, and binding according to product specifications.
• Load parent paper rolls and other production materials, ensuring proper feeding, alignment, and continuous machine operation.
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent output and minimize material waste.
• Inspect A4 paper reams for correct dimensions, alignment, packaging quality, and visible defects.
• Check finished exercise books for proper cutting, page alignment, stapling, binding, and overall quality.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, production irregularities, and product defects.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance in accordance with operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate with production team members to meet daily production targets and delivery schedules.
