Max Marketing and Publishing PTE Limited is offering an overseas employment opportunity for an Offset Printing Machine Operator specializing in 5-color Heidelberg SM102 and CD102 printing presses in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring offset printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials with accurate color registration and consistent print quality.

OFFSET PRINTING MACHINE OPERATOR (5 colors Heidelberg SM102 )

Qualifications:

• At least a high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience as an Offset Printing Machine Operator.
• Practical experience operating offset printing presses, particularly 5-color Heidelberg SM102 and CD102 machines.
• Knowledge of offset printing setup, plate installation, paper feeding, ink control, dampening, and color registration.
• Ability to adjust printing parameters to meet job specifications and maintain consistent output quality.
• Experience conducting color checks and inspecting printed materials for defects.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for printing and mechanical problems.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and maintain workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor 5-color Heidelberg SM102 and CD102 offset printing presses.
• Prepare printing machines for production according to job specifications and approved print samples.
• Install, align, and secure printing plates before production.
• Load paper stock and ensure proper paper feeding throughout the printing process.
• Adjust ink levels, dampening systems, paper feed, registration, and color controls to achieve accurate printing results.
• Maintain precise multi-color registration during production.
• Conduct color checks and inspect printed materials for accuracy, consistency, alignment, and overall print quality.
• Monitor printing output and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot printing defects, mechanical issues, and machine irregularities to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance in accordance with operating procedures.
• Coordinate with prepress, finishing, and production personnel to meet job specifications and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following workplace safety procedures.
