Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen position.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management, Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Experience in multi-cuisine food preparation is required.
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and cooking methods.
• Ability to operate ovens, grills, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Must be fully vaccinated.
• Passport must have a minimum validity of 2.5 years.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Assist in cooking and preparing assigned menu items using ovens, grills, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company recipes, portion standards, and quality requirements.
• Support senior chefs in daily food preparation, mise en place, and kitchen operations.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation before service.
• Check stock levels, rotate food items using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method, and properly dispose of expired or spoiled products.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and company health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and kitchen inventory.
• Minimize food waste through proper handling, storage, and portion control.
• Work efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service during busy periods.
• Perform other kitchen and food preparation duties assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
