Easy Work Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified and experienced Hand Lay-up Boat Building Technicians for junior and senior positions in Greece. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing hand lay-up and fiberglass boat-building work, including preparing materials, applying fiberglass and resin, laminating boat components, and ensuring finished work meets technical drawings and quality standards.

Hand Lay-up Boat Building Technician (Junior and Senior Positions)

Qualifications:

  • Male candidates are preferred.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant overseas work experience.
  • Experience in boat building, fiberglass fabrication, composite work, or hand lay-up operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of fiberglass hand lay-up techniques and composite material handling.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, position, laminate, trim, and finish fiberglass materials.
  • Familiarity with resin mixing, fiberglass reinforcement, wet-out, and laminate consolidation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production-oriented boat-building environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work for extended periods.
  • Able to safely use common hand tools, power tools, and boat-building equipment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, discipline, and time-management skills.
  • Willing to follow company procedures, technical instructions, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Junior and Senior positions available, with responsibilities assigned according to experience and technical skill level.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand lay-up and fiberglass boat-building operations according to technical specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare fiberglass, resin, hardeners, fabrics, molds, tools, and other materials required for boat construction.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and construction specifications.
  • Prepare and clean molds and work surfaces before the laminating process.
  • Cut and position fiberglass fabrics and reinforcement materials according to required dimensions and patterns.
  • Mix and apply resin, hardeners, and other composite materials using the correct procedures and proportions.
  • Perform hand lay-up, wet-out, rolling, and consolidation of fiberglass layers.
  • Ensure fiberglass materials are properly saturated and free from air pockets, wrinkles, and other defects.
  • Build and laminate boat hulls, decks, bulkheads, compartments, and other fiberglass components.
  • Trim, shape, sand, and finish fiberglass components as required.
  • Inspect laminated surfaces for proper thickness, bonding, alignment, and overall quality.
  • Identify and repair laminating defects, surface imperfections, voids, and other issues.
  • Follow production schedules and complete assigned boat-building tasks efficiently.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fiberglass fabrication equipment safely.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and keep work areas, tools, molds, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for resins, solvents, fiberglass, and other materials.
  • Comply with workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with other boat builders, technicians, supervisors, and production personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Senior technicians may assist in guiding junior technicians and monitoring the quality of assigned laminating work.
  • Perform other boat-building, fiberglass fabrication, and production duties assigned by management.
