JMC Equipment (M.C. Paulino) is seeking highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team in Guam. This role is essential in ensuring heavy construction equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience with Monark equipment is an advantage.
• Valid passport required.
• Medically fit for overseas employment.
• Good communication skills.
• Must possess a driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, repair, and overhaul a wide range of heavy construction equipment.
• Analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions in equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trenchers, compressors, pumps, and pneumatic tools.
• Operate and inspect machinery to diagnose defects or irregularities.
• Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other subassemblies using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Examine parts for wear, damage, and mechanical issues to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Replace or rebuild defective engines, hydraulic systems, and other components to restore equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform welding and fabrication work for damaged structural components when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records in compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Follow workplace safety protocols in both shop and field environments.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and suppliers to support timely repairs.
