Grapecare Limited is seeking qualified and experienced MAG Welders / Plasma Cutters to work in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will perform MAG welding and plasma cutting operations for steel structures and fabricated components, including trailer, semi-trailer, and heavy steel frames. The role requires the ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols, work with different steel grades, assemble and weld frames accurately, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

MAG WELDER / PLASMA CUTTER

Qualifications:

• Male, 25–45 years old.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MAG welding and plasma cutting.
• Experience in trailer, semi-trailer, or heavy steel frame fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to weld steel frames with and without rotating fixtures.
• Knowledge of weld symbols, steel grades, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Experience in frame assembly is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MAG welding techniques, welding parameters, and plasma cutting operations.
• Ability to accurately measure, fit, align, tack, weld, and finish steel components.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to identify and correct common welding and fabrication defects.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work in a manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MAG welding on steel frames, structural components, trailers, semi-trailers, and other fabricated assemblies.
• Operate plasma cutting equipment to cut steel plates, sections, and other metal components according to required dimensions.
• Prepare materials and workpieces through measuring, marking, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication specifications.
• Identify and work with different steel grades and select appropriate welding parameters and consumables.
• Assemble and weld frames according to approved drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
• Weld frames with and without rotating fixtures, depending on production requirements.
• Set up welding machines, cutting equipment, fixtures, tools, and workpieces before production.
• Perform tack welding and verify alignment, dimensions, squareness, and positioning before completing welds.
• Produce strong, accurate, and consistent welds while maintaining required weld size and quality.
• Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and excessive spatter.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as required.
• Perform corrections, repairs, and rework when welds or fabricated components do not meet specifications.
• Assist with frame assembly, positioning, fitting, and preparation of components for welding.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions, alignment, and accuracy of completed frames.
• Safely operate welding machines, plasma cutters, grinders, power tools, lifting equipment, and other workshop tools.
• Perform routine checks of welding and cutting equipment and report defects or malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding and fabrication work area.
• Properly handle steel materials, welding consumables, gases, tools, and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, welders, supervisors, and other production personnel to meet production schedules.
• Follow established welding procedures, quality standards, production requirements, and company policies.
• Perform other welding, plasma cutting, fabrication, and assembly duties assigned by management.
